Heesen Unveils 50m Project Aura
\n \tHeesen has introduced Project Aura (YN 19650) to the market. The 50-metre full displacement motor yacht, below 500 GT, is built on Heesen\u2019s proven design platform with exterior design by Clifford Denn and interiors penned by Reymond Langton.
\n Heesen unveiled the new superyacht by referencing German philosopher Walter Benjamin, who defined the \u2018aura\u2019 of a work of art as its unique presence in time and space. Heesen\u2019s own Aura will certainly bring her own unique presence on the water, and is available for delivery in October 2021.
\nProject Aura is a true bluewater motor yacht ideal for extended cruising. Aura has a steel displacement hull designed by Heesen\u2019s in-house naval architects and engineers, and the yacht\u2019s drag-cheating bulbous bow allows her to glide through the water with ease. Two MTU 8V4000 M63 engines give her a top speed of 15 knots, with a range of 3,800 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 13 knots.
\nThe exterior profile by Clifford Denn has been inspired by classic automotive elements, providing generous outdoor spaces and highly resolved detailing. A naval wheelhouse profile adds a masculine touch, while the traditional raked bow and reverse sheer afford a striking side view. The result? A yacht with pure Heesen DNA enhanced by genuine originality and flair.
\nProject Aura will come complete with jacuzzi, al fresco dining and sun loungers on her exterior decks. An expansive sun deck offers the best of the yachting lifestyle, while tenders and toys are stored on the foredeck for on-water adventures. Stairs on each side of the main deck lead down to fold-out swim platforms, with a luxurious beach club connecting guests to the water.
\nThe Reymond Langton-designed interiors are defined by clean lines and surfaces. Billowing clouds of white and taupe lend an ethereal elegance, with sharply accented highlights in sea green and deep blue. Textured materials evoke a sense of calm, refined by chic Scandinavian simplicity. Five staterooms can accommodate up to ten guests, with the owner\u2019s suite located forward on the main deck, and the remaining guest cabins down below.
\nThere is plenty of room for an owner to add personal touches and personality to the interior, as Aura\u2019s environment has been carefully conceived to be both subtle and adaptable, allowing for bespoke features to be applied to the finishing design scheme.
\nProject Aura is due to be launched in August, and following rigorous testing in the North Sea she will be available for delivery in October 2021.
