74m Amels 242 SYNTHESIS Delivered
\n \tDamen Yachting and Amels have made a fast start to 2021 with the delivery of 74m \u2018Synthesis\u2019. The Amels 242 superyacht left the Damen Yachting Vlissingen City shipyard in the Netherlands on January 4th, and has a planned itinerary which will take her on an extensive cruising tour worldwide.
\n The Amels Limited Editions design features a number of layout customisations, commissioned by an experienced Owner and repeat Amels client. Synthesis has a dedicated Owners Deck with foredeck jacuzzi, while the design has focused on blending the interior into the exterior throughout, with unique dining and entertaining layouts on multiple decks. The contemporary layout includes a large aft deck swimming pool and a lower deck Wellness Spa which provides direct access to the swim platform for guests.

\nSynthesis\u2019s Captain James Griffiths joined the project in spring last year forming part of the team overseeing the build on behalf of the Owner. 2This has been my first new build Amels project,\u201d explains Captain Griffiths. \u201cThe previous projects I have been involved with at the Damen Yachting shipyard have been refits. As always, the experience has been great and the cooperation with the shipyard, project manager and his team has gone very well. It is fantastic to see such an amazing product come together after what hasn\u2019t been the easiest of times given the global circumstances.\u201d
\nWith a Gross Tonnage of 1,790, Synthesis is a voluminous superyacht which accommodates 12 guests in 6 cabins with 19 crew. The garage holds two 9m luxury tenders and the Bridge Deck aft features a helipad. As with all Amels Limited Editions, Synthesis benefits from the proven naval architecture by Damen Yachting. The 74m superyacht boasts an exquisite exterior profile penned by Tim Heywood and bespoke interiors created by Winch Design.
\nThe fifth Amels 242 to be delivered, Synthesis also marks the 40th Limited Editions yacht to be delivered since 2005, highlighting the international appeal of the brand.
