Gulf Craft Launches World’s Largest Composite Yacht
\n \tUAE-based shipbuilder Gulf Craft has announced the launch of the world\u2019s largest composite superyacht. Since announcing the project at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2016, the yachting industry has highly anticipated the launch of the 54m Majesty 175 as Gulf Craft\u2019s largest yacht project to date.
\n As Gulf Craft encroaches the field of the 50m+ superyacht build bracket, the Majesty 175 cements its position as a leading luxury yacht builder on the global stage.\u00a0

\nThe 54m superyacht has been designed inside and out by long-time collaborator of the yard, Italian designer Cristiano Gatto. Massimo Gregori of the Yankee Delta Studio, who also designed the hull of the Majesty 155, is responsible for her naval architecture.\u00a0
\nGulf Craft\u2019s latest launch weighs in at 780 GT and accommodates 14 guests in seven spacious staterooms. The elegant owner\u2019s suite is located on the upper deck forward, featuring dual side access to a 5-metre long pool with a unique swim-stream feature. Crew accommodation consists of six large cabins and a private captain\u2019s cabin.
\nThe Majesty 175 complies with MCA regulations and uses advanced composite materials such as carbon fiber and vinylester to set new standards of innovation. Her cutting-edge makeup allows the yacht to cruise through especially low draft areas drawing only 2.25 meters of water – designed with destinations such as the Caribbean Ocean in mind, whose beautiful cruising grounds are notoriously difficult to access for yachts over 50m.\u00a0
\nPropelled by two fixed pitch six-blade propellors and twin heavy duty MTU engines 12V 4000 M63 generating 1500kW each. Once she has passed sea trials and is delivered to her owner, the Majesty 175 is expected to reach top speeds of 16.5 knots. Cruising at 10 knots, the yacht has a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles. She also comes complete with the full extent of safety equipment required, including a SOLAS rescue boat and emergency generator.
\nOther exceptional technological features onboard include the yacht\u2019s advanced navigation system on a stylish glass bridge console integrated with various controls. Her onboard ethernet and Wi-Fi network integrates into the AV system for controlling entertainment systems, lights, curtains and blinds.\u00a0
\nKostas Christadoulou, the yacht\u2019s project manager, said, \u2018I\u2019m extremely honored to be part of this historic event. We worked closely with Cayman Island Shipping Registry and Bureau Veritas class society to interpret and comply with rules for vessels over 500GT that normally apply on metallic vessels.\u2019<\/p>\n
