Construction Begins on Heesen\u2019s 67m Project Sparta
\n \tThe construction of Heesen\u2019s 67m Project Sparta began on 19th October after the keel-laying ceremony, the Dutch shipyard announced.
\n Project Sparta\u2019s Owner chose a Greek coin featuring Poseidon and a galloping horse to celebrate the start of construction, with the coin glued to a steel plate and welded to the keel.
\nProject Sparta is the third Heesen project to be managed by Monaco-based Arcon Yachts, and boasts an internal volume of approximately 1,200GT which will make her the largest steel-hulled displacement motor yacht built by Heesen. Van Oossanen Naval Architects are behind the ultra-efficient FDHF, which is complemented by a dynamic exterior profile penned by the renowned studio Winch Design. \u00a0
\n\u201cThe Fast Displacement Hull Form of Project Sparta, combined with the sleek design by Winch and the optimized building methodology of Heesen, makes this yacht really stand out in terms of performance and efficiency,\u201d explained Perry van Oossanen of van Oossanen Naval Architects. \u201cWith engines quite typical for a yacht this size, she will easily reach her contract speed and outrun other yachts of this size and power, both in speed and range.”
\nProject Sparta is set to be another statement of sophistication on the waters, created by Heesen from the masterful designs of two industry greats in Winch and van Oossanen. It is clear to see already that the superyacht offers fantastic functionality for guests, with a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces along with plenty of luxury amenities to enjoy. The yacht\u2019s elegant sheer connects to an assertive and eye-catching bow, while Winch Design have given the yacht a sporty profile by incorporating a raised pilothouse.
\nThe interior layout of the yacht has been personalised to the lifestyle preferences of her Owner, who is an experienced yacht connoisseur. \u201cOnce again we are delighted to have a very collaborative and decisive client with a clear lifestyle brief,\u201d said Jim Dixon, Winch Design\u2019s Director of Yachts. \u201cThe arrangement of the vessel seamlessly connects the activity of water-side living at the aft \u2018terrace\u2019 with the calm and beautifully-coloured interior.\u201d
\nThere are four guest suites located forward on the main deck, with two forward cabins able to be transformed into a luxurious full beam VIP thanks to a sliding partition, giving the yacht extra flexibility with guest accommodation. The entire bridge deck will be a private dedicated space for the Owner, with two suites and access to outdoor dining and lounging areas.
\nProject Sparta certainly has much to keep guests entertained while onboard, from the 6.5m infinity pool to the luxurious walk-in wellness centre, which is complete with an oval Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym. With fourteen crew and two staff onboard, guests are sure to be well pampered.
\nWith the keel laying complete and construction begun, Project Sparta is on track to be delivered to her Owner in 2023.<\/p>\n
