Heesen Sells 55m Project Pollux
\n \tHeesen has announced the sale of YN 19255, Project Pollux. The second hull from the newly restyled 55-metre Steel class, Project Pollux features a calm and sophisticated interior design penned by British studio Bannenberg & Rowell, who were given free rein with the project commencing on speculation.
\n Project Pollux offers spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests in six opulent staterooms. Stepping onto the yacht, guests are welcomed straight into the glorious main saloon through powered glass sliding doors. The elegant main saloon is finished in a mix of contrasting timbers \u2013 eucalyptus, pale eucalyptus and dark stained eucalyptus. The timbers are complemented by a chic Chevron floor, while full height joinery elements include bookcases on the port side and a starboard bar unit.
\nGuests are treated to breath-taking views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and open bulwarks in the forward lounge area. Full height windows are used extensively to flood the guest spaces with natural light and connect guests with their outdoor environment, with panoramic views across the sea.
\nThe owner\u2019s suite is the highlight of the accommodation space, spanning 86 square metres and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto the sea. The large suite provides the owner with their own secluded space to relax in away from the rest of the yacht. Detailed finished enhance the soft and light-toned palette of smoky grey eucalyptus, with the same continuation of the Chevron pattern in smoked oak. The owner\u2019s suite also boasts a his-and-her bathroom with Thassos and Laurent Gris marbles to create a luxurious atmosphere. On the lower deck, there are a further four spacious guest cabins. The VIP cabin is found forward on the sky lounge.
\nA sculptural staircase connects the lower and upper decks, with spiralling leather treads. The sky lounge has been designed as a versatile space for entertainment. A free-standing bar is perfect for drinks enjoyed with the magnificent views out of the panoramic windows.
\nGuests onboard Project Pollux won\u2019t be short of spaces to spend lazy days soaking up the sun, with ample outdoor guest areas including a sundeck which comes complete with bar, dining facilities and a large jacuzzi.
\nFor water-based thrills, there is a tender and array of toys stored on the fore deck. The superyacht\u2019s beach club is an inviting space to spend relaxing time with easy access to the water via a fixed swim platform. Guests will also be able to enjoy a steam room and sauna on the beach club.
\nWhile Heesen\u2019s in-house team collaborated with Bannenberg & Rowell on the imagine interior design, the muscular exterior profile is the work of Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The bold lines of Project Pollux embody the evolution of Heesen\u2019s DNA, combining traditional sportiness with masculine lines typical of long-range blue water motor yachts. Van Oossanen Naval Architects are behind the ultra-efficient FDHF, and Pollux will reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots while cruising at 13 knots with a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.
\nProject Pollux will be delivered to her owners by January 2021, and is currently undergoing rigorous sea trials in the North Sea. She will make another fine addition to the stellar Heesen fleet.<\/p>\n
