Turquoise Goes for Gold with Another In-Build Project Sold
\n \tNot long after we recently reported the sale of 75m Vallicelli design NB 69, Turquoise has hit another brokerage milestone as it announced the signing of 53 metre Tala. Under construction at the Turkish yard\u2019s Kocaeli shipyard, Tala\u2019s hull and superstructure have been completed and her interior work is well underway. With exterior styling by Miami-based studio DeBasto Designs and interiors by Johnny Horsfield\u2019s H2 Yacht Design, the project promises to be an exceptional one.
\n As is characteristic of Turquoise\u2019s signature style, Tala\u2019s design makes optimum use of her interior and exterior volumes. Weighing in at 720GT, she offers an impressive 8 +1 guest staterooms, while her exterior decks provide for both large entertainment areas and intimate spaces.\u00a0
\n\u2018No one will feel lost,\u2019 comments designer Luiz DeBasto, referring to the interconnected and generously equipped deck spaces of the 53m superyacht. Marketed by the yard as a \u2018terrific yacht for extended periods of residence\u2019, Tala\u2019s Sun Deck offers everything an owner should desire from hot tub, to bar, BBQ, sun-pads and ample open space.\u00a0
\n\u201cWith Tala\u2019s enormous volume \u2026my objective was to make the exterior less bulky and give a feeling of a forward dynamic movement, rather than a static feel,\u201d says Luiz DeBasto. \u201cI wanted the design to show movement and purpose from any angle. I achieved this with the long ascending line from the swim platform all the way up to the mast and down to the pilothouse windshield.\u201d
\nAugmenting the shrewd layout of the 53m superyacht is a sizeable swim platform, designed to facilitate easy operations of tenders. With the Owner\u2019s stateroom and VIP suite forward on Main Deck, guests and crew quarters benefit from a distinct separation.\u00a0
\nH2 Yacht Design has realised the owner\u2019s vision of a more traditional interior, with Johnny Horsfield commenting, \u201cThe interior of Tala is set to reveal the diversity of our design studio\u2019s abilities with the client opting for a rich traditional style with a colourful combination of classic details, burl veneers, marble flooring, and the interior will be lavishly embellished with gold highlights.\u201d
