Yildiz Shipyard and Hot Lab Deliver 43m M\/Y Sunrise
\n \tThe 43m M\/Y Sunrise has been delivered from its Istanbul yard, it has been announced. After some time cruising the Turkish coastline on motorboats and traditional wooden gulets, Sunrise\u2019s experienced owner decided to rent the Yildiz Shipyard – the same yard which delivered the iconic 88m Maltese Falcon – to build his fourth superyacht.
\n With exterior lines drawn by Ginton Naval Architects, Sunrise\u2019s custom interiors have been curated by Hot Lab Interior Design. Now celebrating 15 years of celebrated design, the Milan-based studio has collected a number of industry accolades, and more than maintained its distinctive high standard for this latest project.\u00a0
\n\u201cI had the pleasure to meet the passionate owner and his wife in Istanbul in the summer of 2017 and in less than an hour we agreed on all the design and contract principles.\u201d says Antonio Romano, Hot Lab co-founder. \u201cHe has owned three previous yachts and was looking for a family-oriented motor yacht for personal use and thanks to his previous experience was able to provide us with a detailed brief. This was a great help both for us and the shipyard.\u201d
\nThe owner of the 43m built\u00a0his own 23 and 26 metre yachts, both designed by Aldo Cichero, before building a 34 metre which he owned for 13 years.\u00a0
\n\u201cYachting has been my hobby for 30 years,\u201d says the owner. \u201cI chose Yildiz to build my fourth yacht because of the high quality of the work they do and I met Hot Lab at the yard. I\u2019m accustomed to working with Italiandesigners and found the young, friendly, client-oriented team very easy to work with. They did a great job and worked very hard with myself and my wife.\u201d
\n\u201cSunrise is a beautiful yacht for a wonderful family,\u201d says Enrico Lumini, Hot Lab\u2019s head designer. \u201cThe interior style reflects the culture, tastes and status of her cultured owners. The requested style is soberly classic with contemporary details that reflect the exterior lines and satisfy three generations of family members.\u201d
\nFor her interiors, Hot Lab combined walnut, macassar ebony and honey afzelia woodwork in checkerboard panels with fine detailing in chrome, nacre and woven leather. The free-standing furniture is a mixture of custom designs by Hot Lab and pieces supplied by premium Italian brands like Giorgetti and Minotti. Sunrise\u2019s bathroom accessories are supplied by Dornbracht and deck furniture by Glyn Peter Machin.
\nSunrise features an unconventional interior layout, with master stateroom overlooking the open aft deck on the upper deck. Along with her four lower deck guest suites, the superyacht accommodates 12 guests and nine crew members onboard. She is also fitted with a lift serving all three decks – an unusual feature on a yacht of her size. Tenders and toys are stored \u2018explorer-style\u2019 on the open foredeck, accommodating for a beach club in the stern.\u00a0
\n\u201cThe level of attention the owner dedicated to the project was quite extraordinary,\u201d says Burak Akgu\u0308l, Chief Executive Officer of the Yildiz Shipyard. \u201cAs always, the interiors commanded a substantial proportion of his attention and Hot Lab\u2019s ability to render his family\u2019s vision\u2013and then ensure the execution down to every last detail with an unwavering positive attitude\u2013was exemplary. From our perspective as the shipyard, their technical support and coordination was absolutely first rate. The end result is a happy owner!\u201d<\/p>\n
